blessing moments

Dear God,

Thanks for ridiculous fun with the kiddos at Kidz Street.

Tonight I danced through the hallway with a little girl back to the classroom,

Held plastic knives up to my head (like antennae) pretending to be a sleepy alien that a little boy sneakily kept pestering,

played a guessing game with a new student I hadn't met before,

and got a butterfly kiss from one of the more challenging little girls as she clambered up the steps to her bus.

LORD, such times are precious and give me so much energy and joy!  Thank you that there is so much joy in loving others in such moments like that.  Sometimes loving people is hard; sometimes working with kids is challenging and tests one's patience; but not tonight.  Thanks for "blessing moments" like tonight.
